The NADCA or National Air Duct Cleaners Association was formed in 1989 as a nonprofit association of companies engaged in the cleaning of HVAC systems. Its original mission was to promote source removal as the only acceptable method of cleaning and to establish industry standards for the association.
When done correctly, HVAC cleaning is a very beneficial service for your home. NADCA’s dedication to quality promotes a higher standard of performance for all of its members—which can help give homeowners peace of mind.
NADCA sets the industry standard for HVAC system cleaning.
In order to become a NADCA member, a company must:
- Have at least one NADCA-certified Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) on staff.
- Maintain general liability insurance.
- Agree to clean according to ACR, the NADCA Standard.
- Comply with NADCA’s Code of Ethics.
- All ASCS-certified individuals must acquire continuing education credits to maintain certification each year.

When was the last time you thought about your indoor air quality?
According to the Environmental Protection Association (EPA), indoor air can be three to five times more contaminated than outdoor air! Americans spend most of their time indoors, so the quality of indoor air in the home and office can have a major impact on the health of everyone around us.
Our homes harbor all sorts of indoor allergens and many of these can be harmful and can cause chronic suffering and asthma. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), more than 60 million Americans suffer from asthma and/or allergies.
Indoor pollutants are tiny particles so small they can’t be seen by the naked eye. Some pollutants are airborne, while others settle on surfaces.
These allergens that exist in your home are sucked into the heating and air conditioning system and because your system is circulating consistently, they also move through your air ducts.
Take a moment this fall to schedule an air duct cleaning with Angelo’s Cleaning, your neighborhood air quality expert!
